Diagnostic Laboratory Testing

At Pet Vets Papatoetoe, we do a range of tests to help us diagnose what is wrong with your pet. Blood and urine tests are an important part of diagnostic testing. Sometimes these tests are done to assess the progression of disease, monitor treatment response and to detect side effects from some medications.

We have an in house laboratory and can do ear cytology, skin tests, urine tests and can perform some blood tests. We also have an efficient pathology service that collects samples multiple times a day and provides results rapidly. The results are reviewed by specialist veterinary pathologists.
