Veterinary services have been classified under an essential category. To help keep our clients and staff safe during the COVID-19 outbreak, we are making the following changes:
We reassure you that your pet will get their usual treats and loving attention, while in the consult.
A staff member will come and collect the pet from outside
Veterinarian or staff member will answer your questions over the phone
Procedure consent forms can be downloaded from the website and you can send this to us electronically or a text consent may be accepted in certain situations
Please ring in advance to advise us of the food or medicine you need for your pet. We can take payment over the phone or you can show us proof of online payment when you arrive to pick up your order. The direct credit online payment will not show in our account until the next working day, so plan your payments accordingly in advance. Call us from the car park and we will bring your order out to you, using the required safe distance.
We may courier these items, at a small charge. Plan in advance.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these trying times.
Please call us before arriving – this will ensure someone is available and organised to help your pet readily.Emergency Info
We believe it is a privilege to be allowed to care for your beloved pets. We endeavour to educate the pet parents about medical and wellness care so they can make informed decisions. Our standard of care encompasses safety, comfort, compassion, and the practice of progressive, high-quality medicine. We accomplish this by selecting a knowledgeable and experienced team, using high-quality medical equipment and diagnostic testing. Our Veterinarians practice with passion, whether your visit is for routine vaccination, for major surgery, you have popped in for a behavioural advise or X-rays.
We firmly believe that pets are part of the family. It is an honour and a privilege to be your “other family doctor.”
We have years of experience under our belts; you can trust that we’ve seen it all!
Our on-site boarding cattery offers you peace of mind that your cat's specific needs are catered for and they are monitored by qualified staff.
At Pet Vets Papatoetoe, we have set up a cat-friendly environment. There is a separate waiting area, consult room and hospitalisation room for our feline friends.
Longer appointment times to allow sufficient time for a thorough check-up and to answer all your queries. It also enables us to run our appointments on time.
We provide house calls, with prior arrangement/appointment.
